The COOLINGBAG insulin cooler travel case for 2 insulin pens is designed for storing and transporting insulin during everyday activities, work, walks, trips and travel.
The inner element contains special water-activated cooling crystals. When immersed in cold water, the crystals absorb water, swell and form gel beads that activate the cooling effect. After activation, the case helps maintain a temperature of approximately 18–26 °C for up to 45 hours, depending on the ambient temperature.
The case can hold 2 insulin pens, 2 vials of 10 ml each, or 1 insulin pen and 2 cartridges of 3 ml each. Its compact size makes it easy to carry in a handbag, backpack or travel medical kit.
For the cooling system to function properly, free air circulation is required. Do not store the activated case in airtight bags or sealed containers.
How to use
Gel preparation - Remove the inner cooling element from the outer case and immerse it completely in cold water for 45–55 minutes. During this time, the cooling crystals absorb water, expand and form hydrated gel beads that provide the cooling effect.
Important note: excessive water absorption may cause the inner element to become overly swollen or dense. If this occurs, leave it exposed to air until some of the excess moisture evaporates before placing it inside the outer case.
Drying - After removing the inner element from the water, gently pat the surface with a towel to remove excess and dripping water. Do not squeeze or twist the element.
Use - Place the activated inner element back inside the outer case. The COOLINGBAG is then ready for use.
For additional pre-cooling, the case may be placed in a refrigerator, but it must not be placed in a freezer.
