Omnipod 5 Pods are original tubeless insulin pump Pods designed for the Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) System and compatible with Dexcom G6 and Dexcom G7 CGM sensors.
For users of the Dexcom ecosystem, this Pod version supports automated insulin delivery based on glucose data from a compatible Dexcom sensor. In Automated Mode, SmartAdjust™ technology evaluates glucose information and adjusts insulin delivery every 5 minutes. Delivery may be increased, reduced or paused according to predicted glucose needs, while meal and correction boluses are managed through the supported Omnipod 5 control method.
Each Pod is worn directly on the body and combines the insulin reservoir, delivery mechanism and automatic soft cannula insertion in one compact unit. The tubeless design eliminates external infusion tubing and supports comfortable everyday wear during normal activities.
